NCAA Chronicles 1

Well, the packing is done and I have a little heavier load than previous NCAA Tourney journeys. In 2002, when we played at Oklahoma, I might have thrown in a few token extra pieces of clothing. But, in honesty, I would have been going clothes shopping if the Hawks had staged one of the greatest upsets in women's basketball history that year and remained down South. This time around, though, I am well prepared if the Hawks are winners Sunday and get to stay around for a few more days. Ready for departure at 10 a.m. this morning. Let the fun begin...

Jon-
You have done an amazing job as the voice of the Hawks. You have given the team someone they can emulate, look up to, and be proud of, someone that they can respect. Thank you for all you have done for the University of Hartford. GO LADYS HAWKS BEAT TEMPLE AND THEN RUN THROUGH THE REST OF THE GAMES AND TAKE ON UCONN AGAIN AND BEAT THEIR PANTS OFF!!!!!

I am sitting in a bagal shop in Castro Valley, California (the grandkids are already off to school) keeping in touch with the plans & excitment leading up to Sunday's game.

Enough can not be said about what Coach Rizzotti & the team have done for the University & its recognition. They are quality people who make us all proud. They are achievers in and out of the classroom. We have much to be proud of at the U of H. However, from now till tip-off, there is nothing that makes me more proud.
