Game Day

Well, I do not think that there was one person in the Hawks' traveling party who did not appreciate every minute of sleep last night. The team was able to sleep in this morning, rising for a 9:30 a.m. breakfast. The shoot-around is taking place now as I write, with the Hawks having their only chance to be on the court between WNIT games. The pre-game meal will be at 1 p.m. and the team bus (our fourth bus company and driver on this journey) will depart between 3 and 3:30 p.m. back to the Colonial Center for the game.

There is no television or Internet video for this game. An expanded 30-minute pre-game show will air beginning at 4:30 p.m. on WWUH (91.3 FM, wwuh.org). During this pre-game show, we will answer one or two of the questions posted by you on this blog. Please note that I also post written answers to your questions in the "Comments" sections where they were originally asked.

Hofstra defeated Seton Hall yesterday, 64-52, so Hofstra will meet the winner of the Hawks-South Carolina game during the week at a site and time to be announced.

Please use this post to offer your thoughts either before or after the game.

Jon..
So glad that you've been keeping us up to date on the Hawks and their travels via the blog, but even more grateful that we'll be able to catch the pre-game show and the game on WWUH. As always, our thoughts and spirits are with the Hawks and their Coaches. Tell our Hawks to take care of business!

I must say that this blog really keeps us in tune with the Hawks. It is really appreciated.

It would be great to pull off a win today and get a rematch against Hofstra.

Lets keep moving along and proving that we should have been inb the NCAA field.

Jon, I also agree that these updates are great. It is difficult, not being there, to cheer on the team and take a few photos. I'll take a win by one point if necessary. Go Hawks, JF

I doubt that there's little anyone can say to help our Lady Hawks feel better about yesterday's game. Please know that we're still honored to call ourselves your fans and that we're looking forward to cheering for you in 2007-08.

To: The TEAM, the Coaches and Jon, Jessee & Dan.

Thanks to each and everyone of you for a wonderful season.

You should each take a big bow and be proud of your achievements. Your hard work, great sportsmanship and demonstrated sucess on and off the court are the example of what U of H athletics are all about. You have continually set the mark which all other U of H sports need to work towards.

Thanks again.
